Come to St Andrew’s Psalter Lane Church and see our beautiful New Creation Window, designed by Rona Moody as part of major modernization and refurbishment work. Within this light and spacious church you may also find our rare Bernard Rice window (the Lady and the Lamp) and William Morris window.

Our Church is an Anglican-Methodist partnership and we hope that the openness of the building reflects the open approach of our congregation. We are an Eco-congregation and belong to the Inclusive Church Network. Shirley House, part of our premises, houses our Interfaith Centre and is also used for weekly Quaker Worship.

You can chat to our stewards about our local history, take a short tour of the church or simply enjoy the quiet space and wonderful light of our building.

The launch event is about announcing to the Sharrow/Sheffield area what FoodCycle Sharrow are about; which is to bring the community together over a three course meal, created by food surplus and our hard working volunteers who dedicate their free time to cook and an enjoy lunch with the surrounding community,

The launch will bring together MP’s, Councils, The Press, Our Suppliers, Our Volunteers and Our Guests. Showcasing the community as a whole.

With the weather predicted to turn very cold soon and after my own nasty fall on Wayland rd due to black ice I wondered if anyone living on the many unsalted roads in our area would be interested in forming our own bad weather team to help clear and salt roads .. Especially to prevent any of our many elderly residents from falls over the coming periods .. Please contact me if you feel able to help in any way ..
