Free training course for Sheffield parents and carers of disabled children
Hillsborough-based Jenx Ltd is offering Sheffield parents and carers the opportunity to learn more about specialist positioning for children with special needs at its new free training course.
Jenx Ltd has been manufacturing and supplying postural support equipment for children with special needs for over 30 years and has now developed a specific training course for the parents and carers of the children.
Jenx’s positioning products help people with postural difficulties thrive in day-to-day life and the course will explore the most effective ways in which this is done, as well as sharing practical methods for keeping children comfortable in specialist support equipment.
The training day will take place on September 25 and help parents and carers understand the ways in which Jenx’s 24-hour positioning products promote better posture and function throughout the day. The course is also aimed at encouraging greater interaction with other family members and the support equipment.
Catherine Jenkins, Director of Jenx, said: “This one-day course is an ideal opportunity for us to pass on some of our experience in helping promote functional movement as part of a child’s therapy programme and for parents and carers to learn more about our unique products and how they can help, in an interactive and hands-on environment.”
The training day, which includes lunch, will take place at Jenx’s base in on Wardsend Road, near Penistone Road, Sheffield.
